Our hair transplants don’t look like hair transplants
A follicular unit excision is a hair transplant procedure that’s minimally invasive. We take strong, healthy hair from a donor zone (usually the back of the head, where hair growth is not usually affected by hair loss). The hairs are removed from the donor zone in small, natural groupings (follicular units) of between 1-4 hairs. These units are about 0.75 to 1mm wide.
Each unit is carefully removed using a surgical tool called a micropunch. The follicles are then checked and cleaned under magnification. After this, the follicles are stored in a special holding solution while the surgeon creates recipient sites in the areas of hair loss. The entire process may be completed in about 8 hours; however, more extensive transplants may require two sessions.

The hair falls out of the transplanted follicles usually about 30 days after the procedure. Natural regrowth of hair usually starts around 3 months, with full regrowth expected after 12 to 18 months.
We recommend waiting until you’re at least 25 years of age before considering a hair transplant procedure. The reason is that your hormones that are responsible for adult hair growth don’t stabilise until you reach this age.

Our hair transplant procedures are carried out under local anaesthesia and a mild sedative. There should be little to no discomfort during the procedure with either our FUT or FUE techniques.
You will be awake during the procedure, and we’ll take short breaks to ensure you and your surgeon remain relaxed. We only work with one patient a day, too.
